Meet Our Director
Denise Myatt’s journey in early childhood education began in 1988 — and it has always been about more than just teaching. It has been about creating spaces where young children feel safe, seen, and excited to learn.
After graduating from Towson State University, Denise started her career in a Two’s classroom at a community center childcare program. Those early years confirmed what she already knew: the toddler stage is full of curiosity, big feelings, and incredible growth.
When Denise began raising her own family, she opened a Family Daycare in her home, blending motherhood and education in a way that deepened her understanding of what parents truly need — trust, communication, and genuine care.
Later, after moving to Pennsylvania, Denise served as both a teacher and director in a corporate childcare center. While she valued the experience, she realized her heart was in something more personal and community-centered. She went on to help a local church open its own childcare program, leading and growing it for nearly nine years.
When that chapter came to a close, Denise didn’t see an ending — she saw a beginning.
In 2009, she and her co-director founded New Beginnings Enhanced Learning Center, building a program grounded in intention, strong educational foundations, and a deep respect for how young children learn best.
At New Beginnings, learning happens through play, exploration, and purposeful instruction. Classrooms are thoughtfully designed with engaging learning spaces that help children develop early literacy, pre-math, problem-solving, and independence skills — preparing them confidently for elementary school and beyond.
In 2020, Denise’s co-director happily retired, and Denise continues leading the center with the same passion and dedication that has shaped her 30+ year career.
For Denise, early childhood education isn’t just a profession — it’s a calling. And New Beginnings reflects that commitment every single day.
